It's my first son's fifth birthday, he would have turned five. He went to live with the Lord at two months old and I never thought I could open up my heart to anyone or anything again. God blessed my husband and I with our adopted little boy two years later. There are many challenges that we cross and I am still very naive in my faith, but trying so hard to gain better understanding each and everyday. I became a Christian a year ago and WoW! what a wok in progress I am! getting closer to God was the only thing that saved me and still does. God Bless you, great post! "How do you do it?" All the time. I am biological mom to four (14 has ADD, 6, 3 has a speech impairment, and 7 months) and foster/soon-to-be adoptive mom of one (16 months with special needs). Thank you so much for this post. My response had always been "I don't know, I just do." Something in my heart bothered me about this response. Reading this - LIGHT BULB! I wasn't giving HIM the credit HE deserves and reminding myself and my family and friends that with GOD everything is POSSIBLE! I hear “You are so strong.” “How do you do it?” All the time.
